PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy by Design.
Your secrets stay yours.

We fundamentally cannot access your documents. This policy explains how our local-first architecture guarantees your privacy.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or process your documents. All PDF manipulation happens strictly within your browser's memory.

No Server Tracking

We have no database for user content. We do not maintain access logs, upload records, or history of processed files.

No Third Parties

Your data never leaves your device. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your document data to outside parties.

How We Enforce Privacy

1

Local Loading

Documents are loaded into the browser's ArrayBuffer. They never cross the network boundary.

2

Client-Side Only

Rendering and annotation logic runs in Web Workers on your device. No "cloud processing" is involved.

3

Zero persistence

When you close the tab, your data is gone. We cannot recover it because we never had it.

Detailed Policy Terms

1. Introduction

At PDF Atelier ("we", "us"), we prioritize your privacy through our architecture. This policy applies to our PDF processing library and associated documentation. By using our tool, you acknowledge that the processing occurs locally on your device.

2. Information Collection

  • Personal Data: We do not collect names, emails, or IP addresses.
  • Document Data: We do not upload, view, or analyze your PDF files. All processing is transient.
  • Usage Data: We do not use analytical trackers (like Google Analytics) within the library itself.

3. Security

Although we do not store your data, we recommend you serve your application over HTTPS and implement Content Security Policies (CSP) to protect the client-side environment where PDF Atelier runs.

4. Updates to Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the library implies acceptance of these terms.
